SB Camille Rose is the old-fashioned romance of the homegrown line: soft pinks, warm glowing centres and a quiet little ache that refuses to leave the room.

Her Facebook note called her the desire that never fades, and honestly, she understood the assignment. Delicate as a whisper, unforgettable as a heartbeat.

There is nothing loud about her. She works in glances, memory, sunset afterthoughts and the sort of softness that stays with you longer than it should.

Raised from seed by Steve and Brock, she carries the SB mark with a gentler mood than some of her sisters: still theatrical, just wearing silk gloves.

SB Camille Rose is a love story written in petals, now brought out of the archive and into The Black Book where she belongs.

She deserves better than a fading marker.

I label every plant in my collection with tags made by my son Brock at BrockMark. He permanently laser-engraves them into weatherproof anodised aluminium, finishes each one with a stainless-steel wire loop and checks the spelling before the plants are left to defend their own identities.
