Megan arrives wearing velvet and not remotely pretending it was accidental.

Her blooms deepen into burgundy, crimson and magenta, with heavy colour saturation that makes the flower feel plush, rich and slightly dangerous.

Steve's collection notes described her as thick and layered, a velvet queen rather than a polite garden guest.

I label every plant in my collection with tags made by my son Brock at BrockMark. He permanently laser-engraves them into weatherproof anodised aluminium, finishes each one with a stainless-steel wire loop and checks the spelling before the plants are left to defend their own identities.
